Ingegneria Sismica (ISSN 0393-1420) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal founded in 1984 by Professor D. Benedetti at the Politecnico di Milano. Originally published by Pàtron Editore S.r.l., the journal transitioned to a new publisher, MedinLin Soft, in 2017, see announcement. The journal is dedicated to publishing original research and advancements in earthquake engineering and related fields. All submissions undergo a rigorous, anonymous peer-review process to ensure the highest academic standards and quality. Ingegneria Sismica is widely recognized and indexed in leading databases, including Scopus, Ei Compendex (Engineering Village), the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) within the Web of Science, and Essential Science Indicators (ESI), underscoring its strong international presence and scholarly impact. Starting in 2024, Ingegneria Sismica is published as a Diamond Open Access journal, offering free access to readers and charging no fees to authors, thereby promoting the widest possible dissemination of high-quality research.

Distinguished Professor Biswajeet Pradhan Appointed as Managing Editor of Ingegneria Sismica
We are delighted to announce that Distinguished Professor Biswajeet Pradhan has joined Ingegneria Sismica (ISSN 0393-1420) as Managing Editor. His appointment marks an important milestone in the growth of the journal, strengthening its global outreach and academic excellence in earthquake engineering, geotechnics, and related interdisciplinary fields. Prof. Pradhan is an internationally recognized scientist in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, image processing, geo-computing, machine learning, soft-computing applications, natural hazards, and environmental modeling. He is currently a Distinguished Professor at the Centre for Advanced Modelling and Geospatial Information Systems (CAMGIS), Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Technology Sydney, Australia. He is consistently listed among the world’s most highly cited researchers by Clarivate Analytics and has been recognized as one of the world’s most influential scientific minds for five consecutive years. His exceptional contributions include: Over 832 research articles (770+ in SCI/SCIE journals) with 85,634 citations, an H-index of 149, and an i10-index of 744. 12 books and 70 book chapters authored in leading areas of geospatial sciences and hazard modeling. 55 Ph.D. students supervised, along with numerous MSc students. Dr. Naser Khaji Joins the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica
We are delighted to announce that Professor Naser Khaji , Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University, has joined the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica (ISSN 0393-1420). Professor Naser holds a Doctor of Engineering from The University of Tokyo and a Master of Science from Tarbiat Modares University, following a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Tehran. His distinguished academic journey includes earning his Ph.D. in Japan in 2001 and returning in 2019 to begin his current role at Hiroshima University, after serving at Tarbiat Modares University where he was promoted to full professorship in 2013. His research spans a wide range of fields, including: Health monitoring of infrastructures Soil-structure-fluid interaction Computational structural dynamics and seismic wave propagation Inverse problems in structural dynamics and earthquake engineering Numerical methods in computational mechanics Seismic hazard analysis Professor Naser’s expertise also covers complex systems, safety system science, natural disaster prevention, human informatics, soft computing, and high-performance computing. Dr. Luigi Di Sarno Joins the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica
We are delighted to announce that Dr. Luigi Di Sarno has joined the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica (ISSN 0393-1420). Dr. Di Sarno holds a Laurea (cum Laude), DIC, MSc, PhD, and is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE). He currently serves as Reader in Resilient and Sustainable Infrastructure in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, within the School of Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering. With extensive expertise in earthquake engineering, resilient infrastructure, and sustainable construction practices, Dr. Di Sarno brings a wealth of knowledge and international research experience to the journal. His contributions will further enhance the quality, impact, and global reach of Ingegneria Sismica. Dr. Zhibin Lin Joins the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Zhibin Lin, from The University of Texas at Arlington, has joined the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica (ISSN 0393-1420). Dr. Lin brings a wealth of expertise in AI-Empowered Structural Health Monitoring and Resilient Infrastructure Systems, Risk Assessment, Infrastructure Management, and Predictive Maintenance, and Innovative Materials for Climate-Adaptive, Sustainable Civil Infrastructure. Dr. Lin holds a PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of Wisconsin (2010), an MS in Structural Engineering (2003), and a BS in Civil Engineering (2000) from Nanchang University. Prof. Dr. K. Önder Çetin Joins the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica

Önder Çetin, Professor of Civil Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey, has joined the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica. Prof. Hong-Hu Zhu Joins the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica
We are pleased to announce that Professor Hong-Hu Zhu has joined the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica (ISSN 0393-1420). Prof. Zhu is a distinguished scholar in engineering geology and geotechnics at Nanjing University, China, where he serves as Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department and Dean of the Institute of Earth Exploration and Sensing. He received his Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and has since established himself as a leading researcher in fiber optic monitoring, geohazard stability evaluation, and smart geotechnical sensing technologies. His outstanding contributions to geo-interface behavior and geohazard monitoring have earned him the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. Over the past decade, Prof. Zhu has co-authored 2 books, secured 22 patents, and published more than 150 international journal and conference papers. In addition to his academic achievements, Prof. Zhu has held visiting and leadership positions at world-renowned institutions, including the University of Cambridge.
